Our neighbours Michael and Trish have a Japanese student staying with them for a month named Marika. In order to introduce her to some fabulous Western food we invited them all over for an outdoor fire-cooked dinner of hotdogs and smores-what could be better? Marika noted that she had seen hotdogs on Japanese TV, but hadn't ever tried one. It was loads of fun teaching her how to roast a marshmellow and even more laughs watching her eat it! Ahh, the things we take for granted...
